Who we are
Mark Your Player provides software that youth football clubs use to manage schedules, attendance, player progress and coach reports. Your club is the data controller for the information it holds about its members. Mark Your Player acts as a data processor, handling that information on the club's instructions.
Information we collect
- Account details: name, email address, password (stored securely hashed).
- Player details: name, date of birth, gender, contact number and any medical conditions or allergies the club records for safety.
- Parent details: name, email, contact number and links to their children.
- Club activity: team and class assignments, attendance records, match results, goals, assists, challenge points and coach reports.
- Basic technical data needed to keep the service secure and working.
Children's data and consent
Most players are under 16. Clubs must obtain consent from a parent or guardian before adding a child to Mark Your Player, and confirm this when creating each player record. We only collect what a club needs to run sessions safely, and medical information is visible only to club staff and the child's linked parent.
How we use information
To show training and match schedules, record attendance and results, track progress and share coach reports with players and their linked parents, and to keep accounts secure. We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.
Who can see what
- Club admins can see members of their own club only.
- Coaches can see the players and schedules for the teams they work with.
- Parents can see only their own approved children.
- Nothing personal is visible to the public; club pages show branding only.
How long we keep it
Data is kept while the member is active at the club and for a reasonable period after they leave, unless the club deletes it sooner. Clubs can remove members and their records at any time from their admin area.
Your rights
Under UK/EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, have it deleted, restrict how it is used, or object to processing. Contact your club in the first instance; they can action most requests directly in the app.
Security
Data is stored in a managed, access-controlled database. Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form. Access rules apply per club, per team and per family, enforced at the database level.
Contact
For questions about this policy, contact your club directly, or the club's registered contact address.
